ELISE M. LAUGHEAD was born and raised in San Diego, California. In 2013, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her undergraduate years, Elise was very active in theater/film acting and dance. Elise thereafter attended California Western School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2016. During law school, she received American Jurisprudence Awards in Trial Practice, Legal Skills and Advanced Legal Writing and Analysis, and was an Associate Editor of the California Western Law Review. Elise also served on the Student Bar Association as a member of the Board of Representatives. Elise was also a member of the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court, and Pro Bono Honors Society. Elise served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia of the United States District Court and the Honorable Joel R. Wohlfeil of the San Diego County Superior Court. Elise was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016.

During her spare time, Elise enjoys traveling, theater, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
