EYDITH J. KAUFMAN is a civil litigation attorney with experience in defending cases involving personal injury, contractual disputes, bad faith, professional liability, employment discrimination and harassment, commercial and business claims, property damage, environmental claims and wrongful death. Ms. Kaufman was an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Diego from 2008 to 2012, and has been published in several venues, including the University of San Francisco’s Journal of Law and Social Challenges. Ms. Kaufman has served as an advisor and guest lecturer for PIMA Medical Institute.
Ms. Kaufman received her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with honors. She received her law school degree from the University of San Diego, also graduating with honors. While in law school, Ms. Kaufman’s top grades earned her a position on Law Review. She also studied at Oxford University, where she learned comparative civil liberties and European Union law.
Ms. Kaufman is active in volunteering and supporting nonprofits and remains the Commercial Chair, Safety and Compliance Officer and works Operations for the California Avocado Festival in Carpinteria. She is a certified Community Emergency Responder and previously has volunteered for activities including Surf and Suds Festival, Rods and Roses, Evening in Bloom, Santa Barbara Zoo, AIDS Walk, National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and the Presidential Inauguration Security and Media Center for President Clinton.
