KIMBERLY I. MARCUS was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2003 in Anthropology with an emphasis in Forensic and Biological Anthropology.  During her college years, Kimberly was a Research Assistant at the Bass Forensic Anthropology Center (The Body Farm).  Kimberly thereafter attended California Western School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2015.  During law school, she clerked at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office.  Kimberly was also a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society, Public Service Honor Society, Amnesty International, and the Bail Project.  She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016.

Kimberly is a self-proclaimed foodie and wine lover and enjoys music, international travel, the arts and walking around her South Park neighborhood with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
