MARYAM MOTAZEDI was born in Iran and moved to the United States when she was 12 years old, growing up in sunny San Diego. Maryam completed her undergraduate degree in economics at U.C. San Diego, graduating in 2004. She then went on to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2009. In 2014, Maryam obtained her LL.M. in taxation from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. Maryam has been admitted to the California State Bar since 2011.

In her spare time, Maryam enjoys taking long motorcycle rides with her boyfriend around beautiful San Diego.
